Productions is the creation of Mick and Rita Pinckney. We have always been
great connoisseurs of various types of hot sauces & condiments. We
decided to create our own special recipe which tasted so well that we gave
out our sauces as gifts to all our friends & family at Christmas. We
received so many compliments from everyone on how tasty our sauce was and
inquiries on where to get more that low and behold the idea for our sauce
was born.
The name for our sauce came from the love of our beloved Dalmatian,
Kato, along with our passion for Caribbean-style cooking. Combining the
two together creates a wonderful recipe.
Kato Productions is proud to announce that our original Kato's Island
Sauce won 1st place in the 2001 Scovie awards in the habanero hot sauce category.

The fourth annual Scovie Awards Competition judging was held on September
25th at Robb's Ribbs restaurant in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This was the
judging of the products flavor and appearance.
The judges were highly enthusiastic about the quality of the products
as the blind tasted them form anonymous unmarked little cups.
